A note to self

A note to self that I found in my room, written over a year ago, forgotten but kept.

“You can be happy, satisfied, and at peace in the moment.

You just need to let go of your sense of self.

This is a key part of being still enough to hear the muse.

This is a requirement for honesty. Honesty is the objective of every moment.

When you can do this, you can do whatever you want”

I recall that in the moment when I wrote this, I felt extremely free – unattached from the illusions of “should” in my life. Something I’ve been trying to get back to for a long time now. The point of this note to self was to say that this sense of should comes from the inside.

I don’t know if the root is a “sense of self” nor if the solution is to “be still” nor if this is a “requirement for honesty” nor if “honesty is the objective”.

I don’t know how to do it, but I know its possible.

“You can be happy, satisfied, and at peace in the moment.

When you can do this, you can do whatever you want”
